Drawing us in with an intricate piano performance with guitar nuances and textured percussion, digital popstar Priz Em opens Way Back Home with a stunning vibrato and a hybrid of situational and metaphorical prose.
The opus expands with intentional depth, to take us on an evocative journey filled with poetic prowess and dripping with charisma. Way Back Home holds a soulful rock energy as Priz Em shares wisdom and a high emotional quotient.
Speaking on the release, Priz Em describes Way Back Home as “a fantastical story of grace, love, perseverance, and grace under pressure; no matter the fiction, the reality of relationships faced with grim circumstances is tied to the human experience.”
We learn that Priz Em is indeed a fictional, fantasy character, another gem in a wave of visionary AI and virtual reality popstars. She is the heroine of a sci-fi tale of intergalactic warfare and romance, and appears in the graphic novels of Mega Centarri. Bringing Priz Em to musical life are producers and musicians Steve Smith and Anthony Anderson of SA TrackWorks, with vocalist Kat.
We appreciate the humanised nature of the project, and the universe that Priz Em manifests with her creators. Naturally, we have added Way Back Home to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream her songs including First Kiss!
