Lolita Terrorist Sounds tease upcoming album with cerebral bunker live session of St. Lola

We previously featured Lolita Terrorist Sounds when they were manifesting abundance with the powerful single, Curse, so when we heard that the Berlin-based, avant-garde industrial band were back on new moon with the bunker live session of St. Lola, we were curious and couldn’t wait to experience the opus!

Drawing us in with cerebral, metallic textures and situational, yet metaphorical prose delivered in an evocative and abstract manner with an accompanying, pulsating bassline.

The narrative of St. Lola portrays “an atypical love story, a haunting portrayal of a painful goodbye between two lovers on a desolate Berlin bridge on a grey day.”

The lyricism is subversive and the delivery takes on a moody and charismatic edge, with a dark-rock adjacency. The industrial accompaniment adds to the drama and the visual itself features protagonist, Maurizio Vitale, who also directed the cinematic video making intimate eye contact with the camera.

As Maurizio Vitale sings the hook “feed me as I’ll feed you”, we are drawn further into their expressive universe, and cannot escape. We learn that the electrifying live video session serves as a teaser for their highly anticipated debut album St. Lola.

Lolita Terrorist Sounds is an audacious amalgamation of two contrasting elements: the title of Nabokov’s provocative novel, “Lolita,” and the challenging connotation of the word “Terrorist.” Utilizing the innovative W. Burroughs cut-up technique, these elements were combined to create a thought-provoking band name. To further capture the groundbreaking essence of the band’s compositions and performances, the word “Sounds” was added, encapsulating the unique and revolutionary nature of their musical creations.

We love what Lolita Terrorist Sounds are creating, and cannot wait to hear the upcoming album in full! In the meantime, we are streaming their expanding discography and immersing ourselves once more in the visual for St. Lola.
