You will know by now that our obsession with nasmore is unconditional, so when we heard that the superstar producer was back with When It Feels So Fake, we had a feeling that we were in for an eye opening trip!
Setting the tone with textured drums, nuanced percussion and a warped guitar riff, When It Feels So Fake opens with an assertive vocal performance and the metaphorical lyrics, “You never like to fight, cause you’re afraid I’ll break, but baby back in Eden, I’m pretty sure I was the snake…”
Immediately we are enamoured with the philosophical depth the situational perspective that we are drawn into. We learn that Gabriel and Waz are the featured vocalists on the opus, and we adore the fusion of their voices – the alternative rock and ethereal hybrid vibes have us gripped throughout the track!
nasmore tells us that he was inspired by powerhouses like Imagine Dragons and Nickelback, which we can certainly feel come though in the sound design. It’s the dimensionality that really gets us and the soundscape is nothing short of stadium ready!
The visionary creator confesses that When It Feels So Fake is “an exploration of modern-day realities, a reflection on the veneer that often conceals our true feelings and intentions.”
nasmore continues with depth, “This song encapsulates that moment when everything around you feels superficial, and you’re yearning for something genuine. I wanted to create a sonic space where listeners can confront these feelings head-on.”
Once again, the incredible Neil Taylor shares his skill on the guitar, which works so well with nasmore‘s sound design, and we are fully captivated by the track. It is no surprise that nasmore is blowing up online with over two million streams, and an ever-growing community of thirty thousand monthly listeners.
We have added When It Feels So Fake to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream nasmore‘s ever expanding discography, and anticipate future releases from the creator.
