As you know by now, we are super fans of Love Ghost, and their visionary frontman, Finnegan Bell. The band has been consistently releasing banger after banger, collaborating with incredible artists from all over the world, and showcasing their visionary skillset and determination to make it as one of the most notable acts on planet Earth.
Today, they released, Snap, which opens with a cerebral and moody trap adjacent soundscape with crunched vocal ad libs, before Finnegan showcases assertive prose with an evocative message.
The opus feels dimensional and dynamic, with a thick bassline and pitched vocal design, laced with super memorable hooks. We can only imagine how epic this would be to experience live!
The track also features Mexican artist CHZTER who shares layered vocals and a fierce vibe in Spanish, cementing the overarching message of the track. Finn returns to the mic with a luscious emo pop energy as he sings, “time moves slowly, they won’t catch us…”, and we appreciate how deep the band’s message truly is.
Speaking on the release, the creators tell us, “Snap is a metamorphosis. It’s about transforming into someone or something that you wanted to be but felt like you couldn’t become due to depression. It’s about defeating a part of yourself that you no longer resonate with.” Once again, the track is produced by talented Latin Grammy nominee BrunOG!
Love Ghost’s Finnegan Bell is currently in Mexico writing and recording with many Latin artists, including Dan Garcia, Ritorukai, Go Golden Junk, Phyzh Eye, Jozue, Young Dupe, Blnko and many others. Producers they are working with in Mexico include Shantra (Santa Fe Klan’s latest album) and SAGA. They have several other songs coming this year including Dopeman with Ghana afrobeat artist Camidoh, and Do you Like Me Now with Nu Metal artist Cinnamon Babe.
