We previously featured Ethan Senger for the intricate and authentic title track from his sophomore EP, Standing Still, so when we heard that the star had also released, Everything, as part of the full EP, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Immersing us with a luscious guitar soundscape and textured drums, Ethan Senger opens Everything with an atmospheric energy as he sings introspectively, “I wonder what I’d be like, if you had stuck around, I don’t know you, but we talk all the time, baby for your piece of mind…”
We can always count in Ethan to provide emotional depth and authenticity in what he creates, and Everything is another cohesive string to his bow, tying together the EP immaculately.
Everything is produced and mixed by Andy D. Park (Ciara, Noah Gundersen, Macklemore, Death Cab for Cutie), and mastered by Grammy Award winners Greg Calbi and Steven Fallone (Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Bruno Mars, Tony Bennett) of Sterling Sound, which certainly explains the high calibre nature of Ethan Senger’s sonic offering.
Speaking on his artistry and the EP as a whole, the star confesses, “I’ve always been a songwriter at heart, but early on, I struggled with finding my authentic voice.”
He continues, “I grew up listening to artists like John Mayer, U2, and Noah Gundersen, and each represented a direction I thought I wanted to follow. Now, over the past couple of years, I’ve discovered new music in the Seattle and Brit rock scenes that has a bit of nostalgia to its sound and a refreshing vulnerability that is very inspiring to me. All of these influences have naturally crept their way into Standing Still and though my sound is always evolving, I finally feel like I’m inching closer to my true self.”
We absolutely love what Ethan Senger has to offer, and have added Everything to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his EP, Standing Still, and anticipate future releases from the visionary creator.
