Setting the tone with an intricate, strummed acoustic guitar and a luscious strings arrangement, Brother Sea open All As One with inclusive and empowering lyricism.
The opus expands into a timeless, alternative folk vibe, and needless to say, we are in awe. We connect with the narrative-based songwriting that Brother Sea share, and the authenticity that is conveyed through the charismatic vocal delivery and poetic nuance.
Fans of Counting Crows will absolutely be able to connect with Brother Sea, although there is no doubt that the creators are crafting a conscious universe of their own.
We learn that All As One is being released as a charity single in aid of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and in support of the Scotland Rugby Team in the run up to the Rugby World Cup this Autumn in France.
Speaking on the release, Director of Fundraising at the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, Paul Thompson comments, “We’re all excited for the 5th August and the chance for everyone at the Foundation and our supporters to listen to All As One. It’s a great song, and we’re sure that Doddie would have been a fan too. Thank you, Brother Sea, for your generous efforts!”
We love the soundscape and the intentional nature of the composition, and have added All As One to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Brother Sea.
