As fans of MARQ ELECTRONICA, having previously featured his immersive and introspective single, Boy, and the empowering anthem for the misfits, Be yourself tonight, we simply couldn’t wait to hear his latest release, Never Go Away!
Drawing us in with ethereal keys, spliced vocal textures and a rippling, pulsating beat, MARQ ELECTRONICA opens Never Go Away with emotive prose as he sings, “Tell me how you love me, and you need me to stay, and all the love we have will never go away…”
The opus expands with a luscious strings arrangement to take us on a connected journey, as the visionary artist shares his soul, inviting us to stay close and indeed, never go away.
What is highly engaging about MARQ ELECTRONICA‘s discography is the fact that he is unafraid to deliver a profound concept. His vocal performances are captivating and laced with authenticity and charisma, and needless to say, Never Go Away is no exception.
MARQ ELECTRONICA‘s productions are refined and showcase nothing short of instrumental mastery, and we are engaged throughout the composition, feeling at one with the artist and his intention.
Speaking on the release, the star confesses, “I chose this topic after seeing so many people being in controlling relationships with very insecure and sometimes destructive individuals. The track is about insecurity in a relationship and a one sided aspect that can lead to all sorts of trouble.”
Elaborating further on his artistry as a whole, MARQ ELECTRONICA adds, “I had been setting up events and performing as a solo covers artists and member of an original band until lockdown. I started writing music and performing as MARQ ELECTRONICA during lockdown as I missed performing and friends and fellow artists persuaded me to release my own music with over 192064 streams on Spotify alone and a growing following on Soundcloud.”
We love the depth that MARQ ELECTRONICA creates with, and have added Never Go Away to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography and anticipate future releases from the star.
