Our obsession with Mark Winters seems to grow with every listen, so when we heard that the rising artist had just released I See You, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Captivating us with a strummed acoustic guitar soundscape and pulsating beat, Mark Winters opens I See You with situational prose inspired by nature and his muse as he sings, “Lost in my garden without your fire, wandering in circles nothing to inspire, left at the brook, I see some light, I open my eyes to your quiet life…”
What we love about Mark Winters is his knack for storytelling, and I See You is no exception, filled with vivid imagery which takes us on an evocative journey.
The artist’s connected nature is tangible on the record, and we feel uplifted and optimistic as Mark brings to life his authentic connection with reality. Speaking on the release, Mark confesses that I See You is about “discovering the beauty of the world by sharing your journey with that special someone”.
Although the star cites a hybrid of Mumford and Sons, and The Lumineers as a sonic influences, there is no doubt that what Mark Winters creates is unique to his own design.
We appreciate Mark for his optimistic edge, he always demonstrates an authentic connection with the universe through his art, and the reflections of nature in I See You further cement this.
I See You has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography including Copper Queen, Signal and Boundary Layer.
