Establishing the mood with an astral guitar performance, textured drums and intricate percussion, BreakTime open Love And Harmony with a 60s power pop meets folk-rock inspired performance, and needless to say, we are in awe.
The opus expands with elegance and situational prose to take us on a holistic journey, naturally inspired by the concepts of oneness and peace. We appreciate the conscious lyricism and the emotional depth conveyed by the band as they deliver poetic prowess with intention.
We learn that Love And Harmony forms one half of the band’s second double-single along with She’s The One, and is written by Thommy Delaney, designed to encourage lovers to “cherish one another and spread peaceful ideals.”
Delaney confesses, “The idea for Love And Harmony came after listening to jangly bands like The Byrds and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I loved their use of twelve string guitars.”
We appreciate the luscious nature of the soundscape, and the values that the band present with their words. Fans of The Beatles and The Beach Boys will absolutely be able to connect with what BreakTime have to offer, although there is no doubt that the creators are manifesting a universe of their own.
We have added Love And Harmony to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we immerse ourselves in the music video, stream She’s The One, and anticipate future releases from the visionary band.
