We previously featured The Pulltops for their intricate and inspiring single, Better Life, so when we heard that the duo had just released, Wide Awake, we were curious to say the least!
Drawing us in with a psychedelic guitar soundscape, The Pulltops open Wide Awake with a clear and distinct intention – to take us on a trip of self-realization, allowing us to connect with our mind’s eye and beyond.
The opus expands with wisdom and poetic prowess as the band convey their message and philosophical depth as they sing, “My eyes are open, I feel wide awake…”
We love the vocal echoes and the charisma of the performance, which is beyond tangible. The Milwaukee-based pair confess that the release is designed to highlight “the empowerment that comes from embracing newfound confidence and expression.”
They continue with passion, “Wide Awake is more than just a song; it’s an anthem for those who are ready to take charge of their lives and overcome obstacles.”
We absolutely love the soundscape and the consciously creative nature demonstrated by the band. Wide Awake has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the band including, Better Life and Stronger.
