Kicking off with an immersive piano, Dax delivers the metaphorical line “Everything I did, I always gave it my best… I don’t know if anyone relates, but the feeling that I get is like a truck sitting on my chest…”
The opus expands with an existential nature to take us on a journey through the mindset of the visionary artist. Speaking on the release of The Abyss, Dax tells us that it is a “deep song [that] I wrote about the place I would escape to create and the process of eventually feeling like I’m stuck.”
