It seems that with every listen, we become more obsessed with Nicholas Dante‘s music, so when we heard that the rising popstar had just released Topsy Turvy, we were curious and couldn’t wait to share our thoughts!
Immersing us with a vibrant and astral synth melody, Nicholas opens Topsy Turvy with a fierce and evocative delivery, something that we have come to expect from the star – except this time around it feels super high octane and delivered with a charisma that we cannot get enough of.
The track evolves with dynamic drums and a cerebral nature that have us gripped. We love his Michael Jackson-esque breaths, again demonstrating a set of signature elements that Nicholas Dante brings to his dimensional soundscape.
The dance break down is out of this world, featuring elements of hyper pop, and compressed vocals re-emerging before a trippy and anthemic finale.
Speaking on the release, Nicholas confesses, “I originally wrote this track during quarantine, I felt like I was stuck in a dark state of mind and that there wasn’t really anything fun to escape to.”
The talented artist from New York continues, “So in return, I dreamt of a time after quarantine where everyone could go out and do as they please freely. Just imagine yourself being lost in a crowd in a hot club — kinda living your own “Britney” moment while the DJ blasts this song. It really is the epitome of living your best life and not caring about what anyone has to say about you, or about what you do. Everyone should do their own thing and be confident and comfortable in their own skin, especially while having fun.”
