We previously featured See How for the intricate, garage and house inspired single, Do It, so when we heard that the hitmaker was back with Beautiful Dreamer, we were curious and couldn’t wait to listen and share our thoughts!
Setting the tone with astral add libs and synthetic vocal design, See How opens Beautiful Dreamer with dimensionality and an immersive frequency. The opus expands with the title of track repeated with a pitched nuance, and rising, dynamic percussion.
We appreciate the meditative nature of the synths and the ethereal drama that See How conveys with the composition. Speaking on the message of the song, See How tells us, “Beautiful Dreamer is like the sound of sunrise, or the pull of the sea.” He adds, “Where Can’t Be Me was full of attitude, and Do It was full of energy, I wanted Beautiful Dreamer to showcase a different side to my sound – something bigger, more cinematic.”
It is no surprise that the artist has already racked up endorsements from leading publications including Earmilk, Wonderland and Notion. The sense of optimism is tangible within the piece’s expansive, future-house sound.
The composition is described to “capture the house sensibilities of Fred Again.. and Cassius, as well as the sweeping majesty of Britpop classic Bitter Sweet Symphony“, which we can feel come across, but there is no doubt that the UK maestro is establishing a sound of his own.
We have added Beautiful Dreamer to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the visionary creator’s wider discography including his debut, Can’t Be Me, and his sophomore single, Do It.
