Our sonic obsession with the artistry of Josh Tepper seems to grow with every listen, so when we heard that he had returned with a brand new single titled, Guide Me Meron, we couldn’t wait to experience it and share our thoughts!
Drawing us in with a rippling piano performance, Josh opens Guide Me Meron with introspective prose as he sings, “Here I am up against a wall, questions coming and I’m scared to fall, my strength evades me and I feel I’m lost at sea…”
The opus subsequently expands with anthemic drums and an astral guitar as Josh Tepper asks for guidance with his words in an intentional way that we connect with.
Guide Me Meron has a theatrical pop energy that we cannot get enough of, and the charisma that Josh shares with his words is tangible. Speaking on the message of the song, Josh confesses, “During difficult times we all benefit spiritual guidance . I was going through a personal crisis which was worsened by the recent death of my grandparents who were deeply spiritual people and often told me stories about Mount Meron the center of Kabbalah in Israel.”
He continues, “Thousands of people gather there every year on Lag Baomer to connect with the ancient Kabbalists. Sometimes if you close your eyes and open your mind , the wisdom and energy of Meron will fill your soul and guide your way.”
We absolutely love the message of the song, and how listening to us can help us connect with ourselves and the universe. We have added Guide Me Meron to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Josh Tepper‘s wider discography, including Always Everywhere, and Poison Apple.
