As avid listeners of Moon and Aries, when we heard that Jordana and Tom had released Knots, we couldn’t wait to listen and feed back! The composition opens with astral synth energy and pulsating, textured drums before Jordana shares metaphorical lyrics with a dimensional vocal design.
The soundscape taps into an 80s architecture, whilst conveying a sense of expansive futurism, in line with the progressive and conscious artistry that Moon and Aries share.
Speaking on conceptually on the overarching message of the song, Moon and Aries say, “Having too many Knots can lead to a short rope. And if you want to climb a mountain, wouldn`t it be better if the rope was endless, always there to assist you with every reach?”
We love the philosophical approach that the pair take, and always find ourselves lost in the exquisite and masterful design of their composition. Needless to say, Knots is no exception.
The pair continue, “This song takes you into a confronting and liberating universe. Step by step, untying knot by knot, know you are worth what is on the other side of the mountain. This cinematic, electronic, chill, calm pop gem will throw you a rope to save you.”
We appreciate how Moon and Aries create with the intention to hook us into their “sensual, uplifting and spiritually charged universe of sound.” The talented duo confess to having “a deep driving desire to raise the vibrations and activate a higher version of reality with their music”, and that’s just what Knots achieves. It’s a thought provoking and emotive experience.
We have added Knots to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Moon and Aries including The Arrival, and Resolutions.
