Setting the tone with keys, guitars and a pulsating beat, Michael Barrow & The Tourists open One Track Mind with instrumental mastery and atmospheric vocals, showcasing introspective themes as Michael sings, “I can’t sleep, the last thing that you said is on repeat, stuck inside my head…”
The opus expands into an intentional and thought-provoking perspective on love and relationships. We connect with the authenticity and vulnerability that the band share, and the charismatic vocal delivery from the star.
The band features Michael Barrow on vocals and guitar, Zach Collier on keyboards, Reed Perkins on drums, and Alessandro Improta performing bass. Overall the group creates a cohesive tapestry of sound, resulting in a timeless and refined sonic output.
It is no surprise that Michael Barrow & The Tourists have amassed over five million Spotify streams, and have toured nationally, opening for artists like Ben Rector, The Backseat Lovers, and The National Parks – although there is no doubt that the band are creating a meaningful universe of their own.
With reference to their album Clover, frontman Michael confesses, “I wrote it at a time when all of my waking moments were consumed by replayed memories of having lost one of the most important relationships of my life. I thought if I wrote it all down, it would help me to move on.”
We love what the band are creating, and have added One Track Mind to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Clover in full!
