We recently featured Marc Rangel for the emotive and immersive release of Song Cry, so when we heard that the star had also shared, If You Miss Me, we were curious and couldn’t wait to feed back!
Drawing us in with elegantly strummed acoustic guitar, Marc opens If You Miss Me with a distinctive vocal performance and the vulnerable lyrics, “I miss your smile, I miss your love, I miss the memories that we had, I miss your voice, I miss your touch…”
The opus expands with the emotional prowess that we have come to respect and appreciate from Marc Rangel, as well as the artist’s sublime vocals. The composition showcases instrumental mastery and deep rooted authenticity with reference to the prose.
Speaking on the release of If You Miss Me, Marc tells us, “I wrote this song when I was in my feelings BAD. I remember it was late at night, and I was missing this boy that had done me wrong time and time again.”
The star continues, “Usually when I felt like that, I would be the one to reach out and try to rekindle things. Which is crazy cos I was always the one getting played! But this time, I was very aware about how pathetic doing that made me look. So I was hoping that this time he would be the one to reach out to me for a change. Cos if he did, I knew I would take him back with a swiftness.”
We really connect with the raw and real place that Marc Rangel writes from. The charismatic depth that is conveyed is tangible, and naturally, we have added If You Miss Me to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the star’s wider discography! Marc leaves us with the words of wisdom, “Do not let a dusty man make you forget your worth! It will not be worth it ya’ll. Just cry it out alone!”
