Speaking on Feel It Too, Bear Beat confesses, “The release was inspired by work by the Sting, and The Police and and attempts to re-create and balance in harmony’s that merge nostalgic sounds of childhood with modern indie pop era with.”
The star continues with depth, “The track was inspired by a discovery of betrayal in a relationship and aims to draw hidden emotional messaging in the spoken word and vocals used.”
We can feel the influence of Sting on the composition, certainly when it comes to the 80s adjacent drums, the synth design and the vocal delivery, but it is also clear that Bear Beat is showcasing his own high end production skills and is creating a sound of his own.
