When we heard that Lukx and (his) Dad had just dropped Rotation, it made us think about father and child musician pairings, and we thought it was cute that Lana Del Rey and her father are working together on music. That familial connection can transcend decades of experience into a piece of art. That is also what Lukx and Dad are creating with their world.
Immediately after this thought, we pressed play on Rotation, which opens with an intricate plucked bass expanding with crowd noise into a feel-good conscious flow. We appreciate the introspective nature of the lyrics, and the commentary on pursing your dream and being self-realized when it comes to temptation.
Lukx‘s flow is awesome and we are lost in his hypnotizing timbre. The production is simply masterful. The hooks are clean and memorable, it feels like the perfect Summer release. There is great international potential with Lukx, the instrumental solos are delicious and the astral melodies draw us in to hitting the repeat button so that we can listen on… rotation.
