Setting the tone with immersive keys and a luscious strings arrangement, Anthony J Milan opens Anyone Else with intrigue and introspection as he sings, “I feel so alone, or maybe I don’t, and I’m gonna make a change, or maybe I won’t, i’ve been wasting my time, watching lives go by, I just wanna scream, am I losing my mind?”
The opus expands with textured vocal design and emotional lyrics, as Anthony J Milan asks, “Could I be anyone else?”, fused with a highly unique, orchestral-folk energy. Needless to say, we are moved and in awe.
The second verse is accompanied by an intricate acoustic guitar and textured drums, which bring to life the dramatic nature of the message that Anthony J Milan shares. We appreciate the instrumental switch ups before an anthemic final reprise and astral flute performance.
We learn that Anyone Else is intended to remind us to “do the hard work of liking yourself, especially on the days when it seems impossible.” We deeply connect with the authenticity that Anthony J Milan shares with his artistry, and the depth of his words and message.
Anthony J Milan confesses that “hope is the guiding force” for his music, and in sharing his own struggles and dreams, he hopes to “inspire others to better connect with those around them and with themselves.”
The star is set to release his upcoming album, That is the Question, track-by-track over the next two years. We have added Anyone Else to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream the rising star’s existing discography, including his 2017 EP, To Grow, and anticipate future releases from Anthony J Milan!
