Setting the tone with an immersive, alternative rock soundscape and metaphorical prose, Harker open Out The Window with depth and intrigue, needless to say we are in awe.
We immediately connect with the instrumental mastery exhibited by the rising band from Brighton in the United Kingdom. The track features an out of this world guitar solo, and the band create a cohesive tapestry of sound with elements of pop, rock and emo combined to evoke a high octane overarching listening experience that has us reaching for the repeat button.
We learn that Out The Window is inspired by “the persistent existential angst of the impending climate crisis”. The poetic prowess that the band share is tangible, and we appreciate the message which captures “the despair of a generation left to deal with the problem on their own.”
We always appreciate consciously inclined releases, that have the intention to help awaken people to the violence and destruction caused by the system, and Out The Window does just that. Even the artwork for the single is a nod to radiation detection with a featured Geiger counter. Pure genius.
Out The Window has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Harker‘s wider discography including Wasting Time, Station Approach, and Adulthood!
