Sumner Stroh enters her pop star era and shares anthemic debut single, Love to Hate, in response to recent Adam Levine controversy

Setting the tone with a luscious vocal timbre, Sumner Stroh opens Love to Hate with evocative prose, as she sings, “You love to hate me, almost as much as I love to hate you, you love to shame me, love to blame me for all your issues…”

The opus expands into a dimensional, alternative-pop-rock energy with a nuanced psychedelic synth, as the star takes us on a self-realized journey with her lyrics, and message. We immediately connect with the Sumner’s charismatic delivery, and the tangible emotion that she conveys with her performance.

Speaking on the release of Love to Hate, Sumner Stroh confesses, “[I] wrote this to be an anthem of hot girl summer. Wanted it to embody baddie era to give listeners a feeling of confidence and self love, like nobody can stop you.”

We love the journey that the song takes us on, and there is no doubt that Sumner Stroh will be inspiring and empowering many of us with the anthemic nature of Love to Hate.

The rising artist from Los Angeles showcases incredible range with her delivery, as she speak-sings “Ok then fight me, they love to try me, if this my psycho era, fucking bite me… You wanna be me, like it’s your passion, you wanna hate me just cos it’s in fashion…”

Needless to say, we are in awe. Love to Hate comes with a VHS-style lyric video, bringing to life the charisma of the song, and allowing us to connect on a deeper level with the artist.

LA-based model Sumner Stroh is known for amassing over 26 million views on her infamous viral TikTok outing her affair with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. She tells us, “Everything I’ve wanted to say is in the song.”

The visionary artist continues, “I know I should have said my piece a long time ago, but now I’m ready. After facing this mass scale of ridicule and shaming…”

“People tend to scrutinize women and slap labels on us. Instead of feeding into the mob mentality, bandwagon, cancel culture I wanted to write a song that reflects power and strength because no one knows you or your situation. I didn’t want to further perpetuate this toxic culture we have created online. I hope my outspoken nature will, instead, potentially deter this cruel behavior that has been excused for far too long”, adds Sumner.

Love to Hate has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from Sumner Stroh!
