As fans of rising artist Genevieve Sovereign, we have been intently following her rise and the expansion of her artistic universe. Naturally, when we heard that the star had just released, Present Dreams, we were intrigued to say the least.
Establishing the mood with a metallic riser, vocal textures, elegant piano and the artist’s signature, atmospheric vocals, Present Dreams takes us on a euphoric journey beyond this reality, and for that we are grateful.
With metaphorical constructs, Genevieve not only demonstrates her lyrical intelligence, but her exquisite range, and ability to create genre expansive listening experiences for those privileged to hear her compositions.
As we have mentioned before, Genevieve Sovereign works closely with Ben Tenison who lends his vocals and instrumental mastery to her projects. Present Dreams has a strong pop identity, and we connect with the intricacy of the production.
We appreciate the conscious themes of the opus, and the dimensional nature of the soundscape and build feels transcendental. We learn that the composition was mixed by a member of Genevieve’s universe, multi-genre engineer Dee (Deece) Cowan.
Genevieve Sovereign creates with the intention of “seeking for truth and expansion into the unknown”, which we really connect with, and have added Present Dreams to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Genevieve Sovereign‘s wider discography including Life Soaked Reveal, and Vibration Angle.
