Are you ready for a new Lethia’s Natorium era? Cos we are! The rising star just dropped Scarecrow – the first release from the follow-up album by Lethia’s Natorium, also known as the brainchild of the talented and visionary Pena Hughes-John!
Kicking off with a charismatic, Brit-rock vocal performance and the bold guitar soundscape that we have come to expect from the star, Pena opens Scarecrow with metaphorical lyricism and a punch.
The opus allows Lethia’s Natorium to showcase her fierce range, the ebbs and flows of her feelings on being perceived, and her poetic prowess.
Speaking on the release, the wise soul says, “Scarecrow tackles the subject of bullying, whether it’s playground taunts or in the workplace, being the receiver can be a traumatic experience. The word Scarecrow could be other horrid words that people use to target someone.”
“They pick on someone different because they’re not the same”, sings Pena in an astral falsetto, and needless to say, we continue to be mesmerized by Lethia’s Natorium.
The artist cites Siouxsie and the Banshees, Toyah, Blondie, No Doubt, Skunk Anansie, Bjork, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, The Selector, The Specials, The Special AKA, Madness, The Smiths, and Poly Styrene as some of her influences, but there is no doubt that what Lethia’s Natorium is creating is unique to her own design and philosophies.
We love the new imagery, and have added Scarecrow to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from Lethia’s Natorium!
