Pheolix inspires us to find the strength to move forward on elegant new single, Petals Fall

Setting the tone with a cosmic riser, rippling keys and atmospheric vocals, Pheolix opens Petals Fall with an add lib of the title of the track, and the introspective lyrics, “Wish I could learn to love me, not feel the need to change, my struggling heart can’t find the words to say, my body is detached from my soul, inner demons looking for control…”

We immediately connect with the poetic prowess and authenticity that Pheolix shares with his prose, as well as the depth of his lyricism. The soundscape is immersive and refined with an elegant build and trap adjacent percussion.

The vocal design and harmonies are expansive, as Pheolix showcases his epic range and astral falsetto. Speaking on the message of Petals Fall, Pheolix confesses that the opus is “about the struggle of moving on from a past love.”

The relatable nature of Pheolix‘s words is tangible, and the rising star from Australia elaborates, “Petals Fall is a song about the pain of letting go and the difficulty of moving on from a relationship that meant everything. I wanted to capture the raw emotion of heartbreak and the feeling of being lost and alone. This song is for anyone who has ever felt that pain and struggled to find the strength to move forward.”

We connect with Pheolix‘s sound and intention, and have added Petals Fall to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography including Fly Me To Neverland, and Trapped.
