We previously featured Morning Trips as they took us on a genre expansive journey with, Where Is Your Out?, so when we heard that the band had just released, Processin’, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in with a cerebral guitar tone and astral frequency, Morning Trips open Processin’ with situational and metaphorical prose, needless to say, we are in awe.
The opus expands with charming, yet thought-provoking prose to take us on an experiential and introspective journey, showcasing instrumental mastery from the rising Florida-based band.
We learn that the phrase “SUPER BEST CASE SCENARIO” has been the slogan for the band through all of the global crises, economic shortages, and other trials they have faced since their formation.
They tell us that it is an optimistic mantra that essentially is the band’s version of “Shoot for the Stars”, to “always intend for the super best case scenario, and if you have to adapt, you’re well prepared either way.” The band has adopted the slogan and it will be used as the theme and title for their forthcoming debut EP, out in July!
We love the high octane energy that they convey with Processin’, and have added the song to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography including An Imaginary Life, Where Is Your Out?, and We Have No Time (For Now).
