Drawing us in with a rising and dimensional synthscape, Katie Belle opens The Best You’ll Ever Have with atmospheric vocals as she reminisces with the evocative and self-realized lyrics, “On the floor, in your arms, I was yours, I was wrong, so in love, and I tried to hang on closer to you…”
The opus expands into a magnetic, dark pop soundscape, as Katie takes us on an affirming journey though her lived experience. The artist from Atlanta shares poetic prowess and showcases her epic range. The overall sentiment of the track is assertive and full of hooks and charismatic depth. Needless to say, we are in awe.
The middle eight is an incredible, transcendental moment with an ethereal energy before Katie Belle takes us though to the final reprise. Speaking on the sound and message of the track, Katie confesses, “This song to me means freedom. Freedom to tell my own story, freedom from the person I used to be, and freedom from a relationship that no longer served me.”
The star continues, “I haven’t been this excited about a release in a while and cant wait to share this one with you. Written from pain, enlightenment, and in my own words; The Best You’ll Ever Have.”
We learn that Fabio Campedelli produced the track with Katie, and although it is on par with the productions of Finneas and Calvin Harris, there is no doubt that what Katie Belle is creating with her sound is unique to her own design.
The Best You’ll Ever Have has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Katie Belle‘s wider discography including Next Ex, and Sunflower.
