We recently featured Ninni for his evocative ode to our lost ones, For the Last Time, so when we heard that the star from Naples had also released Have Fun (Remastered 2023), we couldn’t wait to listen and feed back!
Establishing the mood with a rising synthscape and textured drums with cerebral nuance, Ninni opens Have Fun (Remastered 2023) with intrigue, dimensionality and atmospheric Neapolitan vocals akin to a chant.
We immediately connect with the cosmic nature of the composition, and the crescendo of enigmatic percussion before we experience the words, “We want to have fun when the sun is rising, tears are flowing down, when the night is falling…”
The overall sentiment of the opus is inspiring and we appreciate its euphoric and high octane energy. Speaking on the message of the track, Ninni confesses, “The lyrics of the song remind us that we cannot remain indifferent to the suffering of others and how often we are powerless in the face of all this.”
The star cites Radiohead’s Paranoid Android, and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen as sonic influences, but there is no doubt that what Ninni is creating is unique to his own design.
