Setting the tone with an industrial guitar soundscape, textured drums and percussion nuances, Atari Pilot opens Train Of Life with atmospheric vocals and the wise lyrics, “Life is the train, that keep rolling, rolling…”
We immediately appreciate the philosophical depth that Atari Pilot share with Train Of Life, and the poetic prowess and metaphors used to bring their message to life.
Speaking on the meaning of Train Of Life, the band from Swindon confess, “The lyrics speak to the universal experience of seeking direction in life, [and] focus on self-discovery and personal growth.”
Unsurprisingly, the anthem has already been featured as Devizine’s track of the week and has been spun on Amazing Radio’s Indie Stream and included on the “is this thing on?” podcast!
We learn that the chorus of the song, “From station to station, carriages full of expectation, rolling on til the tracks run out, it’s the journey you can’t live without”, is designed as an “uplifting reminder of the importance of living in the moment and embracing the journey, no matter where it takes you.”
The band cite Bruce Springsteen, Daft Punk, and Oasis as some of their sonic influences, although it is clear that Atari Pilot are creating a universe of their own!
We have added Train Of Life to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Atari Pilot‘s wider discography, including Cutting Room Floor, and anticipate future releases from the stars, including their album later this year!
