We recently featured WD-HAN for their powerful and immersive single, Straight Lines, so when we heard that they had also just released the brand new, Good Man, we couldn’t wait to experience it and feed back!
Drawing us in with an elegant, strummed guitar and the inquisitive lyrics, “Does a Good Man, know he’s a good man? Or spend his time looking in?”, WD-HAN open Good Man with charismatic depth as they convey an introspective message with philosophical nuance. Needless to say, we are mesmerized.
Good Man expands with intricate flow and thought-provoking prose as the band share their wisdom and experience with us. Textured drums and glistening guitars evolve the composition as it builds with emotion, choral harmonies and poetic prowess.
We learn that the song is designed as “an ode to self-belief, and a testament to the fact that if [one has] ever wondered if you were good enough”. The answer is of course, “yes!”
The instrumental middle eight is euphoric and out of this world, and we deeply appreciate and connect with the overarching message of the song to help us be our best and most authentic selves!
Good Man has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream WD-HAN‘s wider discography including Spaceman, and Straight Lines.
