We recently had the honour of featuring V of 40M when he teamed up with Hippie G and 40M Tye on the evocative single, Pwr, so when we heard that the talented star had also released Martin Luther, we couldn’t wait to experience it.
Drawing us in with a cerebral frequency and add lib with haunting strings, keys, and textured percussion, Martin Luther opens with a a bold bassline and thought-provoking prose.
We love the depth that V of 40M shares as he delivers epic flow with reference to the revolution, his personal experience with racism, and the current state of the system.
His words are refined and eye-opening, and we appreciate the journey that V of 40M takes us on with his wisdom and perspective. We learn that the soundscape is produced with Saint Cardona who has created tracks with Meek Mill, Fivio Foreign, and Young Ma to name a few.
The star tells us that the opus is designed to “open your mind and awaken your inner warrior”, and that is exactly what V of 40M achieves with Martin Luther. We have added the song to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream V of 40M‘s wider discography including Way Back (Warning), and of course, Pwr!
