Under Delusion return with introspective and cinematic new single, Dive

Immersing us with a subversive, rising bassline, a cerebral frequency and cinematic synth, Under Delusion open Dive with atmospheric vocals and the lyrics, “It’s getting dark, getting cold, you’re afraid, you’re alone…”

The opus expands into an enigmatic 90s rock meets dark wave hybrid energy, and needless to say, we are mesmerized. We appreciate Under Delusion‘s poetic prowess and the evocative trip that they take us on with their prose and wisdom.

The vocal design is exquisite and the overall soundscape is an immersive and cohesive tapestry of sound with wild guitars and ethereal nuance. We previously featured Under Delusion for their singles, Runaway and Over The Rainbow, and Dive is an incredible new addition to their brilliant existing catalogue.

When discussing the theme of the song, the band pose the following questions, “How do you get to know another person? Do you do it slowly, sip by sip like an expensive vine, or can you ruthlessly dive in the raging ocean until you touch the bottom? Should we stay together forever, or can one night bring you a sweet and thrilling feeling every time you remember it?”

We love the metaphorical nature with which Under Delusion create, as the three piece share their “fears, dreams, and thoughts with the universe and soulmates.” Their songs present themes of “love, anger, loss, and all manner of honest reflections on humanity and life itself”, appealing to deep thinkers and emotionally uncertain alike.

Dive has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Runaway, Over The Rainbow, and Under Delusion‘s wider discography!
