It has been a while since we have been moved by a meditative frequency so deeply. Setting the tone with an astral and immersive soundscape, Luminem opens the Lauge Remix of the Argon Rework of Birth of Elements with dimensionality and a cohesive sense of peace.
The composition expands with depth nuanced intricacy to deliver a timeless and cosmic soundscape. Needless to say, we are in awe. The frequency feels healing and amplifies DNA-reparation with anti-anxiety elements, overall resulting in an expansive and refined experience.
We learn that Luminem “plays from the heart to bring more light, love and harmony into the world”, and is inspired by composers including Erik Satie and Ludovico Einaudi, but it is clear that the artist is creating a universe of her own.
The first single of her upcoming album Birth of Elements was released on 17 Feb. The artist confesses that the piano only piece was inspired by “the first elements that were created in the Big Bang from plasma and went on to birth stars and the universe.”
Luminem has since shared this piece of piano music with a diverse range of seven artists and asked them to do their own rework of the piece, taking inspiration from the element they most resonated with. The idea being for them “to show how one base element (i.e. piano melody) can be completely transformed into a new universe (i.e. piece of music) through the lens of a different artist. Drawing a parallel between the creation of the universe and the creation of music.”
A new rework will be released every two weeks, with the full album coming out 26 May. In the meantime, we are streaming the original version and the Lauge Remix of the Argon Rework of Birth of Elements has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
