Drawing us in with an echoing key, a subversive bass rumble and an expansive frequency, Liam McIntyre opens his new EP with it’s eponymous title track, Lifting Off, and needless to say, we are in awe.
The opus evolves into a dimensional universe that feels both meditative and invigorating, akin to a healing DNA shift. We appreciate the spiritual and connected nature of the experience, and love the intricate and nuanced design of the artist’s soundscape.
A transcendental crescendo immerses us from the mid-way point of the composition, and the intention of the title of the track has come into fruition. We are now astral.
The EP features four more tracks, Stars at Night, Cruising Through the Void, Beaufort, and Moving On, which all hold their unique identity and sonic architecture. Beaufort taps into more chilled classical energy, whilst Moving On feels like a full circle moment.
We have added Lifting Off to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the EP, and explore Liam McIntyre‘s 2021 EP, Gentle Wanderings.
