Collard returns with intricate and refined double single, Good Fog

Setting the tone with a dimensional bass line, textured percussion and astral add libs, Collard opens his double single, Good Fog with intrigue, and his incredible, signature falsetto.

The first of the two tracks is called Donnys Wylin Out, where we experience the star sharing an energy that Prince fans would certainly be able to connect with, although it is clear that Collard is creating a universe of his own.

“It’s essential to let me in…” sings the artist assertively, before we are met with a transcendental middle eight delivering an almost meditative respite before an elegant final reprise.

Next up is Times, which opens with an intricate guitar performance and reverbed vocal detailing, before the star sings situational prose with reference to how “times are harder”, and “days are shorter”, whilst confessing, “In this moment I don’t feel free, in this corner we don’t feel free…”

We appreciate the vulnerability and depth that the artist conveys with his latest body of work, and the range that he exhibits with his highly unique vocal timbre. Naturally, we have added both tracks to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Collard‘s wider discography including his album, Unholy.
