Setting the tone with a cymbal texture, an astral frequency and a cinematic melody with a directional radio message , L3o opens Don’t Give a Fuck with intrigue, dimensionality and the evocative prose, “I used to give a fuck, now I don’t give a fuck, but now I got a buck for every fuck that was ever given…”
The opus expands with an intricate flow and an ethereal soundscape as L3o, who is also known as artist Alex Leon, delivers personal, cultural and biblical references with poetic prowess and depth.
We love the layered vocals, glitched nuances, and the thought-provoking themes that L3o conveys with his artistry. We learn that the star is originally from Miami, Florida and he began making music in 2015. He has since presented a slew of releases including his 2022 album, A.nom.aly.
Speaking on the autobiographical nature of Don’t Give a Fuck, L3o confesses, “This song is based on a true story of my life…”, the star continues with reference to his intention that the piece is designed “for the free minds to digest.”
We deeply appreciate the refined nature of his output, and the cohesive tapestry of sound that L3o creates with his sonic universe. The outro brings us back to the opening prose with the radio search narrative, and the elegant melody which brings us full circle masterfully.
Don’t Give a Fuck has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of L3o including Blue Skies: P.T.L.L., and Villtropolis.
