Last year, we had the honour of featuring Atomic Bronco for the intricate and immersive, Get You Off My Mind, and as he took us on a charming adventure with the evocative, Foolish Games, so when we heard that the star had just released the brand new, Fly Away, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in with a luscious acoustic guitar, textured drums, electric guitar riffs, and atmospheric vocals, Atomic Bronco opens Fly Away with the romantic prose, “It doesn’t take long to see, I’m on the excuse of touching you, been in all my dreams… I think I might be breaking through, getting to the core of you I want it all, for so long, you see…”
Immediately Elliott Smith comes to mind with the timbre and pace of delivery, which is a great sign. We love the depth of the piece, and the authenticity that Atomic Bronco shares with his message.
We appreciate the escapist themes and are swiftly transported by the words of the artist. We learn that the soundscape provides a glimpse into the style of Atomic Bronco’s upcoming releases, which feels like a great direction for the rising star.
Speaking on the depth of his artistry, Atomic Bronco says, “The laid-back vocals convey a sense of uneasiness that indicates there may be more under the surface than the lyrics indicate.”
Atomic Bronco, also known as producer and songwriter Kyle Nuss, is originally from Western Kansas, and started creating under his moniker whilst living in London. We love what Atomic Bronco is sharing, and the emotive depth and soundscape of Fly Away, which we have added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from the talented creator.
