Setting the tone with immersive keys, intricate percussion and a textured riser, Mabean opens Twilight with intrigue, dimensionality and atmospheric vocals.
The opus expands with a meaningful pop energy with Korean prose, as the talented artist from Seoul shares his emotions and depth with us. Mabean confesses that Twilight is about “past love”, and we appreciate the charismatic way that he brings to life his message.
He adds with depth, “With the medium of light, it mainly deals with the three emotions of love, past separation, present, and future expectations.” With reference to his aspirations for the listening experience of the composition, Mabean simply says, “When the twilight falls, I hope people listen to my music and feel comfort and chilling through the message in it.”
Mabean is a multi-instrumentalist who produces all the parts including singing, compositions, lyrics, and arrangement. He cites LANY, Lauv, and Charlie Puth as some of his influences, which we can feel come through in his artistry, although it is clear that Mabean is creating a sonic universe of his own.
We have added Twilight to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his first two singles, Bright and Hide Away, and anticipate future releases from the talented star!
