Setting the tone with a synthscape and dynamic drums with glistening melodic detailing and a rippling guitar, Beth Sarah opens Let her go with situational, yet optimistic lyrics, “It might feel like nothing’s going to change, maybe you\re thinking you’ll always feel this way, well I can tell from experience that that is wrong, another day will come, remember to hang on…”
The opus expands with meaningful prose as Beth Sarah shares her assuring message and wisdom. We appreciate the poetic prowess and authenticity that the rising artist channels with her voice.
We learn that Let her go marks the first single from Beth Sarah‘s upcoming album of the same title. The star from Worthing in the United Kingdom confesses, “I decided that this year I would allow myself to focus on music, which has been a lifelong passion. I’ve spent many years focused on caring for my autistic child and the trauma of perpetually being needed turned me into a person who never seized opportunities. This has now changed.”
Beth continues, “I am so ready to embrace the music career that I have always wanted! So this year has been spent forming a band, writing new songs and revitalising old ones. This song documents the journey from trauma to release, with the idea that I’m letting go of my past self, embracing life as it happens and looking forward to the future with hope and joy.”
We love the veracity and genuine passion that Beth Sarah shares with her art, and her accompanying soundscape is refined and intricate. Beth performs acoustic guitar on her songs, and is joined by James Howard on keys, Dom Pallat on bass and Dom Myers on drums.
Let her go has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from Beth Sarah, and continue to stream her existing discography including Rollerskates and The Trees of Ukraine.
