We recently featured Joe Kenney for his glistening and intricate remix of If It Lasts, so when we heard that he had just released Prevailing with Hope Linton, we had to review it!
Drawing us in with intimate keys from Joe, and evocative violin from Hope, Prevailing opens with a dramatic and cinematic edge. The opus expands with dymamism and intrigue to create a luscious, and heightened emotional journey.
The keys performance is simply out of this world, creating a tapestry of sound in fusion with the awe-inspiring strings performance. We appreciate the charisma-laced deliveries, and the passionate reprise of the track, showcasing a mood of optimism and designed to be played on loop cohesively.
We learn that Prevailing is the first in a set of nine selections for a forthcoming 2023 album release, and we cannot wait to hear more! The composition has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Joe Kenney, and anticipate future releases from Hope Linton!
