We recently featured Max M as he took us on a trip to freedom and beyond with his single, Used to Be, so when we heard that he had just released Coming Through, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in a luscious riser, Max M opens Coming Through with atmospheric vocals and introspective lyricism with the prose, “A little love, left of centre, hot and cold, heading out like I’m camouflage, but I know better, nothin’ great ever comes easy…”
We can always count on Max M for a high quality production, with a refined and bright mix, evocative vocal design and a story of self-realization.
The electronic pop pioneer tells us that this is definitely the kind of song that will make one say, “I’ve not heard something like that before”, although there are elements of timeless pop fused with elements of hip-hop and even rock to create a genre expansive journey for us.
Although the vocalist remains a mystery, we are in love with her timbre and how Max M has designed her voice – a pristine listening experience. There is no doubt that the rising French artist is due for greatness with his skillset and we cannot wait to hear more next year!
We have added Coming Through to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Max M‘s wider discography including Imaginary Problems and If This Is What It Feels Like.
