Setting the tone with a pulsating beat, Lillvi opens Down With You with intrigue, dimensionality and a seductive pop vocal with assertive lyrics as she sings, “I know that you love me…”
The opus expands into a fierce, electronica energy with a sense of timelessness and simultaneous nostalgia with its 90s pop inspired frequency. We learn that Lillvi is also known as U.K.-based multi-disciplinary artist Lillvi Agnarsson, who was born just outside Gothenburg, and we cannot help but fall in love with her prowess and unique identity.
Lillvi confesses that Down With You is designed for “late night drives”, and fans of The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Dua Lipa will definitely be able to connect with Lillvi‘s sound, although it is clear that the rising artist is creating a universe of her own!
Elaborating on her creative process and the toll it can sometimes take when creating art, Lillvi admits “suffering from on-going anxiety and insomnia during the creation process really tested my abilities to the fullest.” We are grateful for the important work that she is creating, and the self-identified advocate for the LGBTQ+ community is not only creating a powerful and cohesive tapestry of sound, but her message of depth and authenticity that is tangible.
