By now you will know that we are obsessed with Love Ghost, so when we heard that they had just released the brand new single, Ghost Town featuring Santa RM, we couldn’t wait to experience it. Drawing us in with rippling guitars and an enigmatic melody with ethereal vocal textures, the visionary band from Los Angeles open with an emotive and immersive energy as they sing, “Lonely roads that I wonder, lonely thoughts that I ponder, they just want to watch me fall down, burn everything I am to the ground…”
The depth of the piece is luscious, and we are in awe of the poetic nuance that Love Ghost share with their introspective prose and thought-provoking themes. Santa RM‘s verse is haunting as he delivers a commentary on loneliness in Spanish before diving into his epic flow fused with a subversive baseline. We learn that the opus us produced by Mike Summers who has created songs with Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Tech N9ne to name a few.
Ghost Town comes with an epic music video featuring hypnotizing performances from the artists, moody cinematography, and glowing white eyes in a “ghost town” setting. The video is directed by Adán Cruz, who delivers and incredible visual journey.
Love Ghost have recently toured Europe, where they played Rockpalast in Germany. In August they toured Mexico City playing shows with Adán Cruz at both Auditorio BB and Amazon’s Gamergy Festival, which was broadcast to all of Latin America. Love Ghost is composed of Finnegan Bell (lead vocals, lyricist, guitar), Daniel Alcala (guitar, engineer backing vocals), Cory Batchler (keys, bass, backing vocals) and Daniel Gallardo (drums, vocals).
