Setting the tone with bold and anthemic drums, WD-HAN open Straight Lines with a crisp vocal and electric guitar accompaniment as they share the assertive lyrics, “I live my life in a jungle where the path is marked out for me by my enemies…”
The opus expands with alternative-rock meets indie-pop hybrid energy with charisma and charm, as the LA-based band share a song about “wanting so badly to be better, but somehow always finding yourself in some sort of trouble.”
They tell us, “It’s a grungy rock song that owns up to the fact that life’s straight lines don’t always lead you down the right path, you have to find that for yourself.”
We love the message that they are sharing and the instrumental performance is exquisite, we can imagine that fans of Arctic Monkeys would love WD-HAN and Straight Lines.
We learn that the band has already shared the stage with Paramore, Walk the Moon, Silversun Pickups, and Kaleo as well as touring to Asia three times! Iconic behaviour and no surprise as their vocal performances are incredible and the guitar solos are out of this world.
We appreciate the authenticity that WD-HAN convey with Straight Lines, and have added the composition to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography including The 2020 Album.
