Insane Blue deliver emotive and thought-provoking new single, Down with the Miracle

Establishing the mood with syncopated drums, Insane Blue open Down with the Miracle with a divergent and dynamic energy, and metaphorical, introspective lyricism. The opus expands with luscious harmonies, and a bold alternative rock soundscape to deliver a profound and thought-provoking piece, full of poetic prowess and vulnerability as Insane Blue share their souls.

When discussing Down with the Miracle, Insane Blue confess, “This is a song about war, loss of hope (even for the most believers) and struggle to survive.”

They add with depth and compassion, “We couldn’t be indifferent to what is happening around the world. We were particularly touched to learned that this song was played in the war front in Ukraine.”

We learn that Philippe and Paul first came together as Insane Blue just as the ‘90s got started, and started to take serious steps in ‘96 while at university. From then until 2003, the two of them provided the vocals and guitar and welcomed a plethora of guest artists to play alongside them. When they decided it was time to step back into the Insane Blue realm, they believed that was the way to move forward once more. With a handful of singles, Insane Blue released their first album A State of Mental Confusion.

Philippe and Paul have worked alongside with musicians from Argentina, Belgium, Portugal, and the US to create their artistic universe. They tell us that there was a clear idea of bringing several world influences into the project.

It is inspiring to see their conscious work be played at war, to inspire peace and hope, and we have added Down with the Miracle to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography including The Piano, Time and Build a Home.
