Setting the tone with a dynamic vocal texture and a pulsating, dimensional soundscape, Roy Avital, Guy Moses and Katrin Lasko open Chaque Fois (translation from French: Each Time) with atmosphere and intrigue.
The opus expands into a luscious, dream-pop meets electronica hybrid, as Roy Avital, Guy Moses and Katrin Lasko take us on a journey of “naive love”.
We appreciate the poetic prowess of the piece, as well as Katrin’s vocal timbre with astral harmonies. The hook translates as “Each time, I tell myself, never…”, and we love the self-realized nature of the lyricism, fused with a sense of falling back into old habits even though Katrin knows her boundaries, as she sings, “Il me faut s’eloigner, je sais…”, which means that she needs to create distance from her muse, and for herself.
Chaque Fois was produced collectively by the three Tel Aviv-based creators, with Katrin on vocals, and has already been selected to be featured on The Come Up (a Hulu production).
It is no surprise that the trio’s previous works have reached millions of streams, and were featured on Spotify’s All New Indie, Indie Pop, Bedroom Pop & FIFA 22 soundtrack, as well as appearances on Boiler Room, BBC6, MTV, and KEXP.
We love the energy that Roy Avital, Guy Moses and Katrin Lasko create, and the authenticity that they share with their artistry. We have added Chaque Fois to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we explore their individual discographies!
