Setting the tone with pulsating, industrial, electric guitar, D3lta opens Hello with intrigue and the introspective lyrics, “Fear climbs in your desires, in the night and sweeps into the back of your mind, you’re so misunderstood, poor boy, who knew your innocence would go so soon?”
The opus expands into a dramatic, alternative rock soundscape with a super emotive chorus that is full of dimensionality and prowess. We appreciate D3lta‘s song writing, and metaphorical themes that really resonate with us.
The overall energy is explosive and captivating, and the guitar performances are out of this world. We love the sense of nostalgia with elements of rock-futurism.
Since the release of his third single, Strange, earlier this year, Athens born D3lta has become one of the most exciting new artists on the Greek and British music scenes. In Greece, Strange was playlisted by 40 of the country’s biggest radio stations, many of whom kept the track on rotation for the whole summer, significantly raising his profile throughout Europe and beyond!
D3lta also appeared on several national TV shows before ending his festival season on a high, supporting London Grammar at Release Festival in his home city, Athens. As a child, we learn D3lta was heavily influenced by artists such as The Doors, Green Day and Muse, but there is no doubt he is creating a universe of his own!
Speaking on his artistry, he says, “Over the years I have tried to confine myself to one sound, but each song has ended up diverse by nature. I hope the EP, once released, will tie it all together. I believe as an artist if you are honest with your music, people get it. I want to keep being excited about the music that I make, and that means not being afraid to push boundaries and experiment with different sounds…”
We have added Hello to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to explore D3lta‘s wider discography including Strange!
