We recently featured Atomic Bronco for his intricate and immersive single, Get You Off My Mind, so when we heard that he had just released the brand new, Foolish Games, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Immersing us with his signature, luscious electric guitar and bass, building with textured drums, Atomic Bronco opens Foolish Games with atmospheric vocals and the charming lyrics, “Oh no you’re looking fine, you’ve got the sparkle of a diamond ring…”
We love Atomic Bronco‘s energy and soundscape, and his lyrical prowess is exquisite, as he delivers meaningful prose, charisma and metaphorical constructs. The way he sings “I’m a fool for you…”, before the hook is enthralling, and we are vehemently moved by the profound connection that he has to his muse in the song.
The guitar solos are epic, and we learn that the retro guitar that we experience within the composition is inspired by the 50s – the perfect sonic ode to the romantic nature of the piece.
Atomic Bronco is a retro-inspired indie-alt-rock act from Austin, Texas and London, UK. The creation of producer and songwriter Kyle Nuss, Atomic Bronco blends a mix of indie, alternative, garage rock, lo-fi and classic rock.
The one-man rock band is originally from the heart of rural America, founded the project and released the first two albums while living in London, and now makes guitar driven music in his Austin studio.
We love the authenticity that Atomic Bronco shares with his artistry and have added Foolish Games to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography!
