Setting the tone with bold drums and vibrant guitars, filled with intricacies and nuance, Maximilian Wentz opens Your Silhouette with dynamism and the situational lyrics, “I found you here, tears in your eyes, looking for a place to run and hide, cos your silhouette isn’t really what it seems…”
The opus expands into a powerful, alternative rock hybrid soundscape, laced with emotion and brilliant instrumentation. Your Silhouette is Maximilian Wentz‘s tenth single, which we learn is part of a series of songs inspired by the video game Little Nightmares.
The rising artist from Haverhill, Massachusetts, confesses that Your Silhouette is about “wanting to save someone from their own darkness despite knowing you could get hurt doing so.”
He expands, “You feel the urgency and desperation to escape terrors grip, and not let the shadows win the encounters.”
Maximilian Wentz is a multi-disciplinary artist who plays all of his own instrumentals, including drums, guitar and bass, as well as delivering his cathartic and anthemic vocals! The result is cohesive, empowering and profound, we are in awe.
We deeply appreciate the dimensionality of the piece, and the poetic prowess and performance range that Maximilian Wentz shares with his unique sound as the song transitions with episodes of calmness and ramps into powerful, heavier soundscape to “portray the power within to prevail over life and death to overcome what lies in the shadows of darkness.”
Your Silhouette has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to explore Maximilian Wentz‘s wider discography including The Sixth, and Centerpiece.
