We recently featured Norway’s Filip Dahl for his decadent and emotive composition, Cry of a Broken Heart, so we couldn’t wait to hear his brand new release, Walking Towards Eternity!
Establishing the mood with luscious electric guitar and layered strummed details with dimensional percussion, Filip Dahl opens Walking Towards Eternity with dynamism and intrigue.
The opus expands into an emotive alternative rock soundscape as the talented Norwegian soloist from Trondheim takes us on an enigmatic journey filled with passion and vibrancy.
Walking Towards Eternity is featured on his EP, Storyteller which is also out today! Filip Dahl performs all of the instruments and showcases this through another spell-binding video demonstrating his skill as a guitarist, filmed by his wife Hilde Fossum.
Fans of Dire Straits will definitely be able to connect with Filip Dahl‘s artistry, although it is cleat that his is creating an emotional tapestry of his own.
Filip Dahl is a Norwegian composer and multi-instrumentalist. He started his music career as lead guitarist in various Norwegian rock bands back in the 70s, before moving on to become a recognized engineer and record producer. He was one of the main founders and owners of the highly acclaimed and successful Trondheim based Brygga Studio during the 80s and 90s. He took a self-imposed break from the music scene during the beginning of the new century, but he is now back again for full as a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist.
We are infatuated with the soundscape and energy that Filip Dahl shares and have added Walking Towards Eternity to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream his album, Storyteller, in full!
